The system then list's/notifies admin on date of expiry. (Could be a report or a notification to the admin)

This is not a document expiry. What is expiring is the underlying certification or license.

What does a document expiry mean?

This is again where we are missing the use case.

FieldWorker Support The use case was for waivers or licensing documents to be stored for an employee. These documents have a expiry date associated or a date of renewal.

The admin would want to know when these documents are expiring and need to be renewed.
